Key dates

  1. In-person absentee (early) voting

Tuesday, October 20 to Sunday, November 1, 2026

Vote an absentee ballot in person at your municipal clerk's office or another designated site. Each city, village, and town sets its own days and hours within this window, and some start later or end sooner.

  2. Absentee ballot request deadline

    Thursday, October 29, 2026, 5 p.m.

Request online at MyVote Wisconsin, or by mail, email, or fax. Your municipal clerk must receive the request by 5 p.m., and most voters must include a copy of their photo ID. Request early so there is time to get and return your ballot.

  3. Election Day poll hours

  4. Absentee ballot return deadline

    Tuesday, November 3, 2026, 8 p.m.
